USNWC’s Raft + Zip Tour

For those looking for a guided experience on water and land, look no further than the U.S. National Whitewater Center’s Raft + Zip Tour. Guests enjoy both a 1 1/2-hour guided tour through the trees along the Catawba River, and a 1 1/2-hour whitewater rafting experience (Family Rafting or Adventure Rafting) on the world’s largest man-made whitewater river. The tour components can be sequenced as desired for the day of your visit.

Length of Experience: 3−4 hours
Group Size: Maximum 8 participants per tour. Multiple tours can be booked.
Availability: Tours are available by reservation March through October.

USNWC’s Canopy Tour

Explore the woodlands along the Catawba River and portions of the Historic Tuckaseegee Ford and Trail on the U.S. National Whitewater Center’s Canopy Tour. Participants are guided through the tree canopy traveling from platform to platform on a series of zips, sky bridges, cargo net climbs, rappels and other high-adventure challenges. The tour reaches heights in excess of 60 feet in the hardwood trees that lace a 90-foot-deep canyon before working its way through a wetlands delta and proceeding along the banks of the Catawba River.

Length of Experience: 3−4 hours
Group Size: Maximum 8 participants per tour. Multiple tours can be booked.

USNWC’s Twilight Canopy Tour

Looking for a unique evening adventure? Join the U.S. National Whitewater Center for the Twilight Canopy Tour as you experience traveling through the trees along the Catawba River as the sun goes down. This unique activity allows guests to see the USNWC from a completely unique perspective—total darkness.

Length of Experience: 3−4 hours
Group Size: Maximum 8 participants per tour. Multiple tours can be booked.
Availability: The Twilight Canopy Tour is available by reservation only.

USNWC’s ZIP TOUR

Zip Tour provides a 1 1/2 to 2 hour hands-on guided experience traversing a series of zip lines, rope bridges, and aerial tree-top platforms through the woodlands along the Catawba River.

Length of Experience: 1 1/2−2 hours
Group Size: Maximum 8 participants per tour. Multiple tours can be booked

There are so many activities that you will want to come back again and again. Rock climbing, Stan up paddle boarding, flat water kayaking, of course white water rafting, mountain bike and running trails...and on top of that they have an amazing food and drink selection. I highly recommend this as an adventure outing, family day out, or a place to just have an awesome time.

There are so many fun activities to do here. There is whitewater rafting, mountain biking, zip lines, ropes courses, obstacle courses, rock climbing, trail running, and much more. You can spend several days here and still have more to do. The rafting is very fun and exhilarating. Mounting biking is fun with good trails. The ropes course vary in difficulty and are physically demanding. I recommend the all activity pass. If you don't rent bikes the trails are free. Very fun.

Love this place. Perfect place as a parent for my husband and I to get a date, have a beer/cider and allow our son to burn off extra energy. Everyone is friendly, staff is helpful and as a bonus, you can bring your in bike or scooter. Plenty of gluten free options as well for any other celiacs like me. They also carry drier ciders as well as kombucha.

No other place like in the world! This place is growing, expanding and improving at an incredible rate. The City of Charlotte and its people are VERY fortunate to have this facility here: world class whitewater, 30+ mtn biking and hiking trails, zip-lining, SUP, ropes course, bar and restaurant, rock climbing... it is an outdoor paradise. I love seeing people getting outside and being active and I love seeing all the dogs out there having a blast. Sure better then another mall or wine shop- we have more than enough of those. Keep up the phenomenal work USNWC and City of Charlotte!

Great place to go and the in the outdoors. Zip lining, trails are great. You can. Just pay for parking $5.00 and enjoy the trails. Or pay $60.00 per day and enjoy all the rides. It is a must go in the summer time. We went in November and the water rafting was close.
