Amelie's is a nice little cafe, reminds me of something I would of seen when I was up in NY. It has a good variety of desserts. Most of the desserts I have had there are delicious. The sandwich are pretty good, nothing spectacular, but different from other things you can find in the Charlotte area. The only annoying thing is the seating. There are a lot of students that go there to study, which is no big deal - until they take up a table meant for 4 or 6 and lay out their books, laptops and school supplies like they are in a home office or a dorm room.

Consistency and creativity rarely occupy the same space at the same time. Amelie's is happy to be the exception. From sweet to savory, from a sweet gesture at the end of a wonderful first date, to a desperate caloric last resort at the end of an epic vision quest, Amelie's is poised and prepared to satisfy any and all of your culinary requirements. Hahaha just kidding. The food is delicious. Eat it.

Enjoyed my salad with grilled chicken. It had an amazing goat cheese on it; hands down the best goat cheese Ive ever had. My girlfriend had some delicious broccoli cheddar soup and chicken salad sandwich combo and enjoyed it. We both had a caramel brownie (delectable) and a mini: chocolate, peanut butter, and mouse square. First time there, certainly not the last. The mood of the shop is hipster-esque, but its not excessive.

Such a cool, funky and welcoming place. The minute one walks into this multifaceted restaurant, it's like being transported away from this warehouse/industrial district in which it is located. The decor is eclectic, the food has that homemade feel to it. The quiche was fluffy and filling. The Spinach, Asparagus, Leek and Thai Soup were so full of flavor. It's an expedition to walk around all the rooms that make up Amelie's and find all the different places to sit. A distressed table, a comfortable couch, a small table tucked into a corner... It's well worth the trip.

Just come! I could go through an in-depth process of why but they have so many options, I promise you'll find something to enjoy. A simple pastry and a coffee is my recommendation.... Maybe a salted caramel brownie as well and enjoy a nice conversation with friends! I've had one if the tarts and it was amazing as well.
